What Will Incent Topix to Change their Unmoderated Forums?

I use to post on Topix now and then. One of the most annoying people to post there has to be a person known as Gord who insists that the Greenhouse Effect is false and is a mass conspiracy because he doesn't understand the differences between different types of heat transfer and insists that the colder atmosphere can't warm warmer land surfaces. He seems to have a lot of followers in that forum. I do think that moderated forums, however, are quite a lot more 'adult' than unmoderated ones.
