Why does my niece keep squinting her eyes?

She doesn't have problems seeing or allergies, and I don't think it would help much even if she does. She squints usually once or twice really fast at odd random times. It's almost like a reflex thing and subconscious. I also notice a lot of people I know doing the same thing.
